Cracking the Code to Your Company's Growth (10:30-11:45 a.m.)

Presentation by Clay Eure

In a research study of over 650 enterprise CEOs in small to mid-sized organizations (1-350 employees) some fundamental truths were uncovered about enterprise growth that has helped business owner’s move through the challenges of survival and growth.

These findings point to an underlying truth that companies grow through 7 distinct stages based on the complexity of the organization. Each Stage of Growth has hidden agents that if left alone can create unnecessary bumps and challenges inherent in the journey to the next Stage of Growth. Leadership teams intent on producing healthy, high performing, and sustainable organizations are challenged to recognize these hidden agents or pay the consequences in unacceptable performance, ineffective planning, weak morale and the inability of leadership to deal with chaotic situations.

The four primary benefits of understanding where your company is in the 7 Stages of Growth and how to best navigate your enterprise in the future are:

  1. You are better able to adapt yourself and your organization to the vagaries of change and chaos in our rapidly changing economic landscape,
  2. You are better able to laser focus the resources (people, money, time and attention) of the company on the correct goals and strategies,
  3. You are better able to effectively predict enterprise behavior well in advance of critical decisions that need to be made,
  4. Give everyone at your company a common language for talking about and addressing the challenges associated with growth.

Clay Eure is a small business consultant from Charlottesville, Virginia whose goal is to make people’s work lives better.

Clay attended Vanderbilt University, where she majored in Anthropology, French, Rowing, and Live Music. Only the first two of which she was awarded a degree in.

She moved back home right after graduation to work for her father, Brad, in the family consulting business. After 10 years working together, Clay took over the company from him in 2022.

Brad and Clay continue to work closely together helping owners, founders, and CEOs reduce the chaos in their organizations and build companies that run more profitably and predictably.

In her free time, she plays soccer and makes cocktails. Two hobbies that she is careful not to mix together.
