VARP 8th Annual Sporting Clays Classic

About the Tournament

This sporting clays tournament is designed for both experienced shooters and first-timers, making it an ideal event for friendly competition, team building, and client entertainment. Proceeds directly support VARP operations, including education, advocacy, and workforce development initiatives.

Companies are encouraged to sponsor generously and take advantage of the event to reward top employees, host clients, and build meaningful industry connections.

The tournament features:

• 5-person teams

• 100 targets per shooter

• 17 shooting stations plus a Turkey Shoot Contest

• Registration limited to 18 teams

Due to limited capacity, preference will be given to teams that include at least one VARP member.

Team registrations are not confirmed until payment is received by VARP. If you do not receive a receipt, your team slot is not reserved.

Waitlist signup is encouraged, as we usually have at least one team drop out by the time we get to the event. 

What’s Included

• Boxed lunch for all teams and volunteers

• One golf cart per team

• Turkey Shoot Contest entry for each shooter

• Awards for Top Gun and Top 3 Teams

Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets will be sold online through the Friday before the tournament and are open to all VARP members. Proceeds support VARP’s work in education, advocacy, and workforce development.

The raffle drawing will take place at the event. You do not need to be present to win a grand prize.

Grand Raffle Prizes

This year features two separate grand prizes:

1. A firearm sponsored by Hale Associates

2. A $700 Green Top gift card to purchase a firearm or other outdoor sporting equipment

Event Schedule

• 10:50 AM – Trapper training for volunteers

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Registration & boxed lunch

• 11:50 AM – Mandatory safety meeting (all shooters required)

• 12:00 PM – Tournament begins

• Immediately following the tournament – Awards & raffle drawing
